Horatio
Oratorio a performance & installation by
Aleksander Kolkowski & Federico Reuben
This performance and installation event combines the earliest sound
recording
& reproduction technology - Edison phonographs, wax cylinder
recordings and antique wind-up horn gramophones - with state of the art
electronic sound processing. The sound is projected through a mixture
of acoustic horns and loudspeakers and includes an installation of
phonograph horns, tubing and turntables.

Seldom Scene
Seldom
Scene is an evening of film and music, bringing together talented,
unsung musicians and long neglected, educational cine films, once a
staple of school assembly halls up and down the country. The films will
be shown mute; their cold, authoritative narration replaced by
captivating, ethereal themes specially composed for these screenings.
These are bona fide films, projected on the night from vintage prints;
not a DVD, QuickTime or video tape in sight. All compositions will be
performed live alongside these flickering images.
The subjects covered tonight will be geography, wildlife and geology.
Questions will not be asked at the end.
